Cain, Nebraska women beat No. 25 Rutgers 52-42
Kate Cain scored 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Jasmine Cincore added 11 and seven to help Nebraska beat No. 25 Rutgers 52-42 on Sunday night.
The Cornhuskers (14-6, 5-2 Big Ten) have won five of their last six games, including back-to-back victories against ranked opponents. After losing 69-64 in overtime to then-No. 23 Michigan on Jan. 13, Nebraska beat No. 20 Iowa 74-69 74-65 on Tuesday.
Harden told The Undefeated after Saturday’s game: We’re for real, for real. We are for real as it can get.
The Warriors downplayed the significance of dropping that game. Durant said he gets why the Rockets are feeling like they have a legitimate shot at dethroning Golden State this season, but he’s taking the wait-and-see approach as it pertains to possibly meeting them down the road.
[Talking trash is] part of the game, Durant said. You understand they beat us twice this year. They should feel confident. Obviously, we’re confident. We feel as though we’re the best team in the league.
We get an emotional victory on Saturday and then … we just didn’t come out of the gates very well, coach Mike D’Antoni said. But after that our defense was solid … (and) it just came down to James and Chris just creating and getting buckets.

Rockets: Capela had 14 points with eight rebounds. … Paul had six assists and five rebounds. … Monday was Houston’s first win this season when scoring below 100 points after losing the first three. … Houston made 15 3-pointers to improve to 25-4 this season when making at last 15.
Houston improved to 18-0 this season in games where Capela, Harden and Paul all play, including 14-0 when starting those three with Ryan Anderson and Ariza. Monday was the first time since Dec. 31 D’Antoni has been able to use that lineup.
